When you give to Hope for Haiti, you are supporting a ministry with more than two decades of on-the-ground experience. Hope for Haiti has led more than 50 mission trips and brought more than 500 students and adults from the United States to serve alongside Haitian partners.

Together with Haitian churches, pastors, workers, families, and community leaders, Hope for Haiti has helped build four Lutheran churches, two Lutheran schools, and an orphanage. The ministry has distributed food in communities facing malnutrition and provided thousands of pairs of eyeglasses to people who otherwise could not afford the ability to see clearly.

But the most important measure of this work is trust. Hope for Haiti does not assume it knows what a community needs. We listen, learn, and respond alongside Haitian partners who know their communities best.

The January 2027 Mission.

Hope for Haiti plans to serve in northern Haiti from January 13 through January 20, 2027, including work in and near Cap-Haïtien and Ouanaminthe. The mission is expected to include food assistance, road and community-access projects, eyeglass clinics, prayer, church partnership, and Vacation Bible School.

Where does my donation go?

Your gift supports Hope for Haiti’s current ministry priorities and identified needs in Haiti. Donors may be able to designate a gift toward Food, Access, Vision, the January 2027 Mission, church and ministry support, or the area of greatest need.

Does Hope for Haiti pay salaries from donations?

Hope for Haiti is a volunteer-led ministry, and no salaries are paid from donations. The organization should provide clear information about any necessary transaction, banking, transfer, shipping, or operating costs that may apply.

Will I receive a donation receipt?

Yes, you will receive a donation receipt with your contribution amount.

Can I make a monthly gift?

Yes. Monthly gifts provide consistent support that helps Hope for Haiti respond to needs as they arise and continue its work throughout the year.

Can I give to a specific program?

Donors may choose Food Assistance, Community Access, Vision Care, the January 2027 Mission, or another identified priority. If a designated need becomes fully funded or changes, Hope for Haiti will update you on how the funds are used.
